Double $100 Hall of Fame Shopping Trips!

Our family was hit the last few weeks with the dreaded H1N1 illness. We are FINALLY better three weeks later, so I figured it was time I went to the grocery store. For nearly two complete weeks I couldn't make anything for dinner--this illness was a nightmare!! Now that I am feeling much better, I was excited to go shopping and take advantage of some of the GREAT deals this week! Here is my 'loot'..all for just over $150 (I know..a little much for me, but our fridge was completely empty and I hadn't been shopping for several weeks)!

Here is what I bought for $158:

4 (20oz.) pkgs. chicken breasts
9 (16oz.) pkgs. 93% lean ground beef (I know..I gave in and bought Walmart beef)
3 gallons of milk
11 yogurts
33 cans of mandarin oranges
21 cans of pineapple (Dole...78 at Maceys--fabulous price!!!)
9 Progresso Soups
Fresh lemons
2 bags of grapes
1 bunch bananas
Large bag of fuji apples
1 bunch celery
1 bunch green onions
2 red peppers
5 lbs. baby carrots
1 8oz. pkg. mushrooms
3 Freschetta Pizzas
3 lbs. oranges
5 cucumbers
3 lbs. sweet potatoes (sweet potato fries--yum!!!)
3 loaves of Home Pride Bread
8 dozen eggs
12 (16oz.) packages frozen vegetables
10 lbs. potatoes
2 Tombstone Pizzas (for the kids..hehe!)
28 lbs. of butter (baking season here we come!)---these are .98 a lb. at BuyLow..wow!
2 boxes of Chex Cereal
Bunch fresh parsley
2 pkgs. EL Fudge Cookies
4 (16oz.) sour creams
2 (16oz.) cottage cheese

There were several coupons this week from www.coupons.com that made the sale prices this week even better! They have a $1/2 Chex Cereal coupon that made my boxes of Chex cereal $1 each. They also have a $1/2 coupon for Keelber cookies you can print that made my EL Fudge cookies only .25 (.99 at Smiths). They also had a $1.10/3 Progresso soup coupon that made some of my soups only .65. They also have a $1 off 2lb. cheese coupon and a .50 off yogurt coupon.

If you are new to coupons.com, check it out! There are NO subscription fees (unlike the newspaper) and they are fast and convenient. Just click which coupon you want to print, print them, cut them out, and away you go. You can print two of each coupon, so it makes stocking up even better!!

**$100 Hall of Fame Shopping trip #2. Here is Chris' (from Utah) shopping deals this week. Her total BEFORE savings was $174.87. Total paid $62.77. Nice job!! Thanks for sharing your success with us :)
