Do you need a breakfast recipe to WOW your family or friends? This one is it! You can dress up this dish by cutting your French Toast into fun shapes (ex: Heart shaped for Valentines or Anniversaries, stars for 4th of July, etc.). This recipe sounds complicated, but it is easy and perfect for the spring!

Strawberry Stuffed French Toast
  1. 1 loaf of bread (white or wheat)
  2. 6-8 eggs
  3. ½ c. milk or heavy cream
  4. 2 T. sugar
  5. 1/8 t. nutmeg
  6. 1 T. vanilla
  7. Beat egg mixture together and set aside.
  1. 1/4 c. strawberry jam
  2. 1 8oz. cream cheese
Butter Syrup
  1. 1 cube of butter
  2. 1 c. sugar
  3. ¼ - ½ c. evaporated milk
  4. 1 t. vanilla

  1. Beat together until smooth. Spread a generous amount of cream cheese filling on one side of a slice of bread. Put another bread slice on top of the cream cheese (like a sandwich). Dip top and bottom of your French toast in your egg mixture and cook on a greased hot skillet until cooked thoroughly on both sides. Take off the skillet and top with butter syrup (recipe below) and fresh strawberries and blueberries. Makes a GREAT Valentines breakfast or brunch!
  2. Butter Syrup: Melt. Add and dissolve on low heat. When dissolved thoroughly, it should appear white in color and all combined together. Then add, until thick. Add and serve over waffles, pancakes
