If any of you remember the resteraunt Frontier Pie, this cornbread is even BETTER than theirs!! Once you make this recipe you will no longer be able to eat the prepackaged cornbreads any longer. Look no more, this will become your new favorite! I serve my cornbread with homemade honey butter (honey, butter, vanilla, 1 egg yolk). I also use 1/2 wheat flour and 1/2 white flour for this recipe and it is delicious!img_2975

Cornbread Cake
Ingredients
  1. 1 c. sugar
  2. 1 c. margarine
  3. 1 ½ c. flour
  4. 1 c. cornmeal
  5. 2 t. baking powder
  6. 2 t. salt
  7. 2 beaten eggs
  8. 1 ½ c. milk

Instructions
  1. Cream sugar and butter. Add rest of ingredients. Put in a greased 9x9 pan. Bake 350 for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Can be doubled and baked in 9 x 13 for approximately one hour.
