We need your prayers!
My husbands cousin Lexi Hansen was in an accident yesterday at BYU and is in a coma with severe brain injury. She was hit by a car while she was skateboarding and has less than a 1% chance of survival. Our entire extended family, and many friends, fasted today and have been continually praying for her recovery–and are asking for your prayers as well. She is such a beautiful girl, inside and out. She is the one in the picture next to her brother in the denim jacket. She is such a sweet and loving girl we are all heart broken. We all know miracles can happen if it is God’s plan and we add our faith and prayers for her and her family. She is one of 9 amazing, talented and beautiful siblings.  Our thoughts go out to their entire family at this hard time.
Tragic experiences like this sure make your perspective on life change, don’t they? I found all day today all I wanted to do was snuggle with my kids and slow down a little. Life is too fragile and short, and I feel awful that I am often guilty of putting aside things that matter most, for things that matter least. Family, relationships, your relationship with God are all things that leave a lasting legacy with those you love. It is my goal to spend more time building my relationships with others, than doing things that have little significance in life. Whether you know Lexi or not, take an extra few minutes and hug your children and family members today. Every day we have with each other is a special gift from God.

We are praying for you Lexi and we know miracles can happen!
