There were awesome grocery deals again this week. My family was nearly out of cereal, so I was so grateful for the great deals. Also, chicken for under $2/lb. (Sprouts has their chicken on sale until Wedensday for only $1.79/lb.–fab!). Great produce sales, fruit snacks and many other items your family probably uses on a regular basis. I have never had Cracklin Oat Bran cereal. Is it good? Do you eat it plain with milk? Or do you use it to make bran muffins?
We LOVE Cracklin' Oat Bran. Although my kids refer to it as the 'dog-food cereal', we love it. It's high in fiber and a cereal I'll actually eat. I love to eat a bowl with strawberries and almond milk. It's yummy 🙂 The sale ends tomorrow, so hurry in if you want some. Good luck!
Oh, and yes, you can use it in bran muffins. It's generally eaten before I get around to making muffins though. My kids love it 😉
Have you ever had a problem with Walmart price matching the smiths cereal sale when the cereal picture isn't pictured or listed. In this case, cracklin oat bran isn't, only honey bunches of oats and frosted flakes. I was just wondering
Is there a link to the meal plan or are you just sharing that you bought enough groceries for 10 meals?
Copefamily–No, every time I ask them they just say as long as it's within the right ounces, they don't care which cereals I price match. Most of the time in the ads the cereal sales aren't ery clear, so I just figure as long as it's the same brand, same ounces then it's okay. Just ask your local Walmart what their policy is (it seems to be different at each one).
Anonymous–Yes, the meal plan that I use is the one you can download on our website http://www.dealstomeals.com. There are 7 main dish recipes which usually last our family for 10 days–with eating out, quick meals, etc. Hope that helps 😉 Have fun shopping!
