I’ve been thinking a lot about God’s timing lately. I don’t know if it’s the beginning of a New Year, a new blog, family changes happening, or what it is exactly, but I keep thinking how grateful I am for a loving Heavenly Father who has a plan for my life. Ten years ago I never would have thought my life would be where it is today. I would never have thought I would have created a company that would have lasted a decade. Taking a hobby and turning into something you think might support your family takes a lot of faith…and patience! My hat goes off to all of you entrepreneurs out there! I think patience is the number one characteristic needed to be your own boss. It is so easy to get frustrated with yourself, your abilities (or lack there of) and see all the reasons things might not work out.  It’s such a great reminder for me to put my trust in the person with all the power {God}. He can make more of our lives than we can alone. If we’re patient, he will guide us, little by little, to where we need to go…and to what we need to be doing.

(Our family a month or so before Deals to Meals started)

From the beginning, I have always felt our company has been divinely guided by a loving Heavenly Father. The way Deals to Meals started and the timing of it, is nothing short of a miracle. Many of you know, but a few months before Deals to Meals started my husband lost his job. It was a hard time financially, as well as emotionally, for our family. As we were praying about what to do, it was as if all the stars aligned and Deals to Meals was born. We didn’t know why or how things would work out, but we felt like it was time for us to take a leap of faith and see where things would take us. It was amazing to see how God’s hand was in the details of how things needed to unfold for our family.

(Ten years later…where has the time gone?!?)

As the many years have gone by, we are still amazed at how God’s timing is in the smallest details. We’re not sure how things will always turn out, but it brings such peace of mind knowing if we’re patient, and have faith in God’s plan, we can find true joy. I hope on #HisDay we can think about the many ways (small and big) that God has guided our lives for the better. If you have a story of how God’s timing has been ‘worth the wait’ in your life, I’d love to hear it! We’re here to learn together 😉

“God’s promises are not always fulfilled as quickly as or in the way we might hope; they come according to His timing and in His ways. The promises of the Lord, if perhaps not always swift, are always certain.”
