Happy Easter Friends! Hope you are having a beautiful day spending time with family and worshiping our Savior on this special Sunday. Let us celebrate His life and resurrection not just today, but always. The greatest words ever heard, “He is not here, for He is risen” Matthew 28:6

I love to read the New Testament every Easter and Christmas. Sometimes I get through all four books and other times I just read the book of John. No matter what I read, I LOVE reading the stories of Jesus Christ. Every time I read them I learn something new, or a passage jumps out at me that I hadn’t remembered before. As I was reading this past month, a verse in John stuck out at me. It was when Thomas had missed seeing the resurrected Savior with the other apostles. When they told him about their visit and what they saw, Thomas said he couldn’t believe unless he saw Christ himself.

Soon after, the Savior revisits the apostles and comes over to Thomas. I love this statement He makes:

Because though hast seen me, thou has believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

When I read this, I was filled with the spirit and thought about the world we live in today. I feel like Jesus is under attack. People are trying to disprove His existence, take Him out of every school, government, social setting. You name it, the war against Christianity is real. I love Christ’s statement of ‘Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed’. We will most likely not see our Savior in our life time, but we can choose to believe in Him. That is what faith is, right?

I haven not seen my Savior, but I know He lives. I know He suffered for my sins in Gethsemane. I know He was resurrected on the third day, just like He prophesied. And no matter what anyone around me thinks, or wants me to believe, I will always believe in Him, because I have had my own witness that He lives. It is a sweet, peaceful assurance and no one can take that way from me. For that knowledge, I am forever grateful, especially on this sacred, special Easter Sunday. For those of you wondering about your faith. Hold on. Don’t give up. Keep reading, keep studying, keep praying. You will be blessed for not giving up on Christ just because you haven’t seen Him. One day we’ll stand before Him and have our own sure witness, but for now, we can hold on and have faith. God bless each of you and Happy Easter!
