Let’s start with peanut butter and chocolate. What is there not to love about this combo, right? Well, this recipe is perfection and the combination of creamy fudge filling with a peanut butter cookie crust and topping is just pure heaven. Can’t wait for you to give these a try! Enjoy 😉
- 1 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 6 1/2 cups flour
- 12 oz. bag milk chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 12 oz. milk chocolate chips
- 2 Tbs. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- Cookies:Cream the peanut butter and butter in a large mixing bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add the sugars, vanilla, salt and eggs. Mix together until whipped and light. Add the dry ingredients and continue to mix until combined. Once the dough has come together, add the chocolate chips and combine. Set aside.
- For the fudge, place all of the ingredients into a sauce pan and turn to medium heat. Stir the fudge ingredients until the chocolate chips are smooth and melted and then remove from the heat.
- Press a 1/2 inch layer of cookie dough into the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Pour the fudge mixture over the bottom layer of the chocolate chip dough. Top the fudge layer with another 1/2 inch of the cookie dough. You might have extra cookie dough which you can freeze for later or make cookies out of 😉 You just want to make sure you have enough dough to cover the bottom and top of your pan.
- Bake the cookie bars for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees, or until the center of the bars are no longer soft. When bars are cooked, remove from the oven and let them rest for an hour before cutting.
